In field applications, reading devices with different connectivity, such as RTUs, PLCs, Analyzers, Dataloggers, and Flow Computers, remotely, becomes necessary via GSM data services when access over the local network is not possible.
To implement such a scenario, a router supporting GSM data services with SIM card slots is needed.
Instead of having separate devices for different connectivity features of the devices to be monitored, all industrial connectivity features implemented in a single device provides an advantage in field applications.
In this context, our GRC5000 LTE Ethernet/WIFI bridge router device incorporates multiple connectivity features, allowing monitoring of multiple field devices via SCADA and or application software.
Wireless (WIFI) connectivity has its AP (Access Point) mode so it allows the establishment of a WIFI network without the need for an extra ccess point when is not available in the field. All other devices and computers are wirelessly connected to each other through this feature of our device.
Two SIM card slots are available for redundant operation of the GSM data connection. This allows for the development of a redundant solution for even more stable connection performance.
The device has one RS232 port and one RS485 port. The RS485 port, due to its connectivity, allows up to 256 devices to be connected to the bus. This is one of the features that sets our device apart from its counterparts, which generally only allow 32 devices.
Our device can perform Ethernet or Wi-Fi TCP socket connections as a server or client. This allows for the creation of different connection topologies and configurations.
